Utter success in the opening party of the sixth season of the Gecko Tour. More than thirty players signed up to play on the Dama de Noche Málaga course to compete in the nocturnal tournament, nine holes, with lit-up balls and a closing party that included food, drinks and a live dj. A very fun and very special evening-night of golf.

Juan Martín Olivera took home the win, a professional 23 year-old Argentinian golfer who proved himself to be the true king of the night after he shot a 28. An incredible score which allowed him to win the tournament with a one-shot advantage over Noemí Jiménez, Michael Dart and Mike Bedford. A three-way tie for second place.

The professionals really enjoyed the experience, they had a great time and even showed up with their best game, despite using balls they weren’t exactly used to, with a blinking red light in order to make them more visible at night.

After the tournament came to an end, time to relax. The golfers took advantage to talk about the round to the rhythm of the night. A splendid space for those who put together the Gecko Tour to mix and mingle as well as the golfers. Precisely, after the tournament, the new owners of the best winter tour in Europe, Ken Lingwood and Katherine Wells, took the opportunity to welcome all the golfers and to wish them a successful season. The Dama de Noche tournament was sponsored by Black Tower in collaboration with Spectrum FM.

The next Gecko event will be next Monday and Tuesday with the second regular tournament of the season which will be held at Marbella Golf & Country Club. The first tournament was held at La Cañada where Swedish golfer Andreas Andersson took home the victory.
