A slight change in the calendar looking for a push

I made the decision that same Sunday afternoon. As you know, I didn’t make the cut in Turnberry and it was the last straw. I needed a change, a turn in the right direction. I decided to continue on in Europe this week and to play in the Tipsport Golf Masters, Ladies European Tour tournament held at the Golf Park Pilsen in the Czech Republic.

It’s been awhile since things haven’t been going as I’d hoped, the results aren’t there and I need to get back the good vibes, regain confidence. Playing in Europe and, specifically, in the Ladies European Tour is always a pleasure for me. I see old friends and I feel relaxed and at ease. I hope this visit to the Czech Republic can serve as an inflection point in going up against the end of the season.

Things didn’t work out in the British. I really wanted them to, but they took a turn for the worse off the get-go. There’s nothing left to do other than to wipe the slate clean and to start over. Luckily, I have it easy this week. Apart from playing in the Czech Republic, in Europe, yesterday, Monday, we were scoping out the course where the tournament will be held in September with the Solheim Cup team. St. Leon-Rot, in Germany. I was there along with some of the other golfers selected by the captain, Carin Koch.

It was as if we were a family, an entire day with all the girls to get the team together. Not all who will be in the competition were there, only a few that Koch wanted to see. I was delighted to go. We saw the facilities and we golfed the course. We had a great time. Chemistry is really important in these types of competitions, and gatherings like these help a lot.

And now, off to Prague, with high hopes that things turn out well this week and incite a change in direction for the end of the season.
