I’ll tell you how I see things after my failed attempt at the Asian Tour School. Things didn’t go well there, but I haven’t returned sunk in misery. On the contrary, I intend to compete this year wherever I can. I have the desire and more than enough motivation. My category in the Challenge Tour may get me into three or four tournaments, but I’m going to look for invitations to expand my calendar on that circuit as much as I can. There won’t be many tournaments, but in the end it’s about playing good golf, if you don’t, you can play thirty weeks and you still don’t achieve your goals.

In addition, this coming Sunday, without going any further, I’m going to Qatar, where I play the DP World Tour tournament with the category of past champions. I would also play the Open de España in the same way and with all this, a bit from here and a bit from there, I will make the calendar that I can. I repeat: in the end it’s about playing good golf in the few or many opportunities you have, although it’s very clear that my situation, regarding the calendar I can make, is not ideal.

Precisely in that line, to play well and improve the results, I have to admit in the first place that my tee to green game in the Final of the Asian circuit was not so bad: from the tee I kept more or less the type, I managed decently, even if it was with the ‘B game’, and with the irons I was quite good. However, on the greens, with the putter, it was a small disaster. It’s very difficult like this, because the birdies don’t end up coming and on top of that too many bogeys fall, as soon as you don’t catch a green in regulation, missing really short putts. That’s why I’ve already had a long work session with Dani Colomar, a putt specialist teacher, and we’ve drawn some conclusions, as well as a line of work.

Now, as I say, I start in Qatar. Then, if I get some invitations, I can start playing in the Challenge Tour, maybe in the two tournaments that are played in Abu Dhabi in the month of April, although right now I don’t have any confirmation about it.
