Just in eight days, I will travel for the first time in my life to Thailand. I get on the plane on the 6th of January itself. Hopefully, it’s a premonition. Epiphany Day. I make my debut at the Asian Tour School. I have a beastly illusion. I want to do well and, most importantly, I am sure that I can do well.

I have been working hard for a long time, I have also been swallowing a lot of my own. I have had such a bad time in recent years that now I find myself in a perfect moment of maturity, tranquility, and patience. I am aware that I do not have unlimited economic resources, far from it, that is why I am more eager than ever to take advantage of my last cartridges. I’m going to fight them all.

Anyone else, after so long, would probably have thrown in the towel, but inside I know I have it. I want to compete, compete well and fight to win, which is what I have done all my life until these last years. I feel that I still have it and you have to fight.

It has been a year of a lot of silent work. With my good friend Carlos del Moral and Luis Espí, who have helped me a lot, we have found the material that best suits my swing, especially with the driver, my great battle horse in these darker times. I am playing a Wishon and I have found the ideal configuration after testing more than fifteen different possibilities… And no, it’s not an exaggeration. I have hit countless balls, hours and hours, and now at last I have in my hands a club with which I am comfortable and feel confident. The key is that I finally only have one mistake, to the right, and that allows me to compete. I have been playing it since September and I am very happy.

I am playing well and I feel comfortable. I passed the first phase of the European Circuit School hitting the ball very well and I stayed in the second because of the short game. Who would have told me. It was a week of gale and it was not easy to hunt greens. I was not at all fine with the approach. Undoubtedly, all the work that I have put into the driver and the long game, has made me neglect that area a bit. Now I am catching up with Jordi García del Moral, with whom I have been working for a couple of weeks. We are making small adjustments, nothing very big, and I am very satisfied.

My goal is to play the full Alps Tour, the Asian Tour if I get the card, which I have no doubts that I am going to get it and play the Challenge Tour tests that I can. The Asian Tour School preview is played from January 6 to 9 and the first 18 pass. Already in the Final, the top 35 get a category, although the goal is to finish first or second to have the full card and be able to play everything. I want and I know I can.

I do not miss the opportunity to thank those who continue to help me, especially Wilson. By the way, their Wilson Staff ball is spectacular… and I don’t say it because I play it. In hardness, it is between the Titleist and the TaylorMade. It’s a super ball. I love how it reacts. I recommend you try it if you haven’t done it yet.

Happy New Year to all!!
