Good news continues to accumulate for the Spanish women’s golf academy. The Spanish golfer Carolina López-Chacarra has been awarded the Juli Inkster Award 2025, one of the most prestigious recognitions in collegiate golf in the United States.

This award distinguishes the highest-ranked collegiate golfer in her final year, provided she has completed all four academic years. A recognition that bears the name of the legendary Juli Inkster, winner of 31 titles on the LPGA Tour

The news comes just before the US Women’s Open where the Spaniard will play the first Major of her career. Chacarra has experienced her best year across the pond in her fourth season, achieving the best results of her collegiate career in recent months with two victories and eight top-ten finishes, including the Augusta National Women’s Amateur.

The Madrid native has finished her collegiate career with a stroke average of 70.88 this season, the best of her career, and has secured a total of four individual titles and 122 rounds played with an overall average of 71.38.

Beyond the recognition itself, the award brings great news. Thanks to this prize, Carolina will receive two invitations to LPGA Tour tournaments in 2025 —the Meijer LPGA Classic and the Portland Classic—, she will advance directly to the second phase of the LPGA Q-Series, and will receive $50,000 in financial support from the Inkster Foundation and two lessons with Juli Inkster herself: “I am thrilled to receive this award. Juli has had an incredible career and I aspire to follow in her footsteps. This recognition means so much to me,” expressed the Spaniard.
