Julia López signs a double to remember. Two days ago, the Andalusian was taking the individual title of the SEC Conference and, just a few moments ago, she has just been proclaimed team champion with Mississippi State.
After playing yesterday in Match Play format the quarterfinals and team semifinals, today the conference final was held that would crown the best university in the SEC quadrant. A very Spanish final, by the way. Julia’s university, Mississippi State, was facing Texas A&M of the Fernández Poggio sisters. Three matches with Spanish representation and three matches settled with victories of ours. In the case of Blanca and Cata, victories with a bittersweet taste since their victories have not been able to prevent the bulldogs from taking the title by a tight 3 to 2 final. To put the finishing touch to the day, it was Julia herself who gave Mississippi the definitive point to win the Conference title. The Armada continues to reap great achievements in the United States.
The day began with a display by Blanca who defeated 7&6 crushing her Mississippi rival. No concessions.
