Three Spaniards have started with the turbo on at the Asian Tour School. Two parallel events that close this first phase before next week’s Final, where the last and valuable spots to access the Asian circuit in 2026 will be decided. The week is crucial, and the first day has left positive feelings for the Armada in Thailand.
At the moment, Agustí Quinquillà (-6), Marc Sabria (-3), and Mario Galiano (-2) are positioned in the honour spots that would grant them access to the decisive event taking place in just nine days, also on Thai soil. The three have made a solid start, minimising errors and taking advantage of birdie opportunities on courses that, as is often the case in these preliminary phases, punish any slip.
Additionally, Asier Aguirre (-1) is just one shot away from the target and keeps all options intact to qualify if he confirms the upward trend this Wednesday. The rest of the Spaniards will need to push from the second day. Antonio Hortal (+1) and Scott Fernández (+1) are not far off and have enough room to move closer to the qualifying spots.
Further back, Pep Angles and Luis González (+5) have little room for manoeuvre and will need a very low round to get back into the fight. There’s a lot at stake, and the second round will be crucial to clarify the Spanish outlook.
