Peter Uihlein (-16) has achieved victory in the International Series Qatar, the penultimate tournament of the season on the Asian Tour which took place this week from Wednesday to Saturday at the Doha Golf Club. The 35-year-old American golfer thus claims his second win of the season on the Asian circuit, after winning last August in the International Series England, and the fifth professional win of his career, adding to those he had achieved on the European Tour, the Challenge Tour, and the Korn Ferry Tour.
The player from Range Goats GC of LIV Golf, who started as the leader in the final round, left no chance for his rivals by signing a scorecard of 69 strokes to win by five strokes ahead of South African Charl Schwartzel (-11) and seven ahead of Chilean Miguel Tabuena (-9) and South African Louis Oosthuizen (-9), who share third place in the tournament. A final round in which the prize for the Spanish representatives in the tournament was two places among the top 10.

They were achieved by Eugenio López Chacarra (-8), tied for fifth, and Luis Masaveu (-7), tied for ninth after a great round of 69 strokes to close the tournament to which he arrived with an invitation. David Puig (-4) had to settle for a tied 19th place after delivering a scorecard of 75 strokes today, the worst of the week, while Gonzalo Fernández Castaño (+7) recovered some positions with a final 74 to finish tied in 69th place in a tournament where his daughter Lola served as the caddie for the Madrid native.
