“I’ve played quite a bit in these conditions during my youth in the UK, on some even more complicated links courses, so I drew on that experience. Any result below par would have seemed good to me,” insisted Williams, who started the week in 23rd position on the Road to Mallorca and will fight tomorrow for victory and to take a giant step in the fight for the DP World Tour cards.
Lucas Vacarisas (-5), with 70 strokes on this ‘moving day’, Javier Sainz (-4) and Borja Virto (-4), with 72, Alejandro Cañizares (-3), with 70, and Joel Moscatel (-2), with 73, completed the performance of the Spaniards in this third round of the Challenge tournament in the Czech Republic, 12th of the season on the second circuit of European golf.
