The Scotsman Calum Fyfe (-17) has taken another step towards what could be his first victory tomorrow in the HotelPlanner Tour. His plan to minimise errors and take advantage of the opportunities offered by his good short game at the Bogense Golf Club has once again worked perfectly with a round of 68 strokes this Saturday to consolidate his position of privilege and increase his lead in the standings to three strokes. Only the Dane Johnathan Goth-Rasmussen (-14) is barely keeping up with the leader’s pace, who has already managed to open a five-stroke gap over the third-placed players.
Of the top five on the leaderboard, only Fyfe has been able to avoid making more than one bogey in any of the three rounds played until today’s ‘moving day’ (one each day). Goth-Rasmussen committed three today and two yesterday, Lars van Meijel (-12) also faltered twice today, Liam Nolan (-12) has accumulated two bogeys each day since the tournament began, while Christofer Blomstrand (-12) made two bogeys yesterday and struggled greatly on Monday, on a day complicated by the weather, with three bogeys and a triple bogey.

The Scotsman, 67th in the Road to Mallorca at the start of the week, has never been first, second, or third in any of the 47 tournaments of this second-tier division of the DP World Tour he has played in his career. His best result to date is a tied eighth place last season at the D+D REAL Czech Challenge in early October, so unless there is a real collapse, whether or not he secures the victory tomorrow, he will leave Denmark with the best position of his life and getting closer to the fight for the cards.
He will have to keep an eye on Goth-Rasmussen, who signed a remarkable 66 today, but also on players like Blomstrand, who made the most of moving day with an outstanding performance on the Danish course with a tremendous 62, with ten birdies and no mistakes, to set the course record. The Spaniards will not pose a problem for him, as they have not managed to find the best version of their game this week. Albert Boneta (-5), with 67 strokes, closed his best round of the week to recover 30 positions, but he is far from the top 10, in 26th place tied with Lucas Vacarisas (-5), who repeated yesterday’s 70 today.

The other two players from the Armada who made the cut, Adri Arnaus (-4) and Borja Virto (-4), share 37th place with several other players after closing this third round of the Danish Golf Challenge with 71 and 68 strokes, respectively. All four will have one last opportunity tomorrow to continue climbing the leaderboard in search of a greater financial reward and in terms of points for the circuit’s overall standings, as the fight for the cards gradually approaches the midpoint of the season.
