Sebastián García (-10) is the leader of the Raiffeisenbank Golf Challenge 2025. The Spaniard reaches the halfway point of the tournament in the Czech Republic at the top of the leaderboard tied with Joshua Berry, Stuart Manley and Palmer Jackson.
After an initial round of 65 strokes, the Madrid native has kept up the pace with a four-under-par round, 67 strokes, for a total of ten under par. If anything defines Sebas’s performance, it is solidity. In 36 holes at Kaskada Golf Resort, he has only committed a solitary bogey. In fact, it took him 33 flags to stumble for the first time. He recovered wonderfully with a birdie on the penultimate hole of the course.
The 36-year-old player is seeking what would be the first victory of his career on the HotelPlanner Tour in his 116th tournament. This year he already achieved a great second place in Abu Dhabi.
The second-best Spaniard on the leaderboard is Lucas Vacarisas (-6), who has replicated a three-under-par round for the second consecutive day. He is on the verge of the top ten. With two strokes fewer, a good Borja Virto (-4) appears.
Tied with the Navarrese is Santi Tarrío (-4), who has achieved one of the best rounds of the day. With a round of 65 strokes, he is six strokes off the lead with two days of golf ahead. The Galician extends his good form after finishing second last week.
Another six Spaniards have made the cut in the Czech Republic: Eduard Rousaud (-2), David Borda (-2), Albert Boneta (-1), Rocco Repetto Taylor (-1), Adri Arnaus (PAR) and Alejandro Aguilera (PAR). A total of ten of our players will compete over the weekend. Great balance.
