The HotelPlanner Tour has announced the rescheduling of the two consecutive tournaments that were due to be contested next month in United Arab Emirates due to the situation currently unfolding in Middle East.

Specifically, the RAKBANK UAE Challenge, scheduled at Al Zorah Golf & Yacht Club, will now be played from 24 to 27 September, while the Abu Dhabi Challenge, at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club, will be held from 1 to 4 October.

The tournament that was due to be played last week in India has already been cancelled for logistical reasons, although the PGTI Open in Haryana will still be able to be played this week.

Thus, both events will be placed immediately after the Open de Portugal and before the two consecutive tournaments scheduled in China, within the circuit’s calendar.

The Tour explains that this modification responds to a clear priority: ensuring the safety of all players, caddies and circuit members, while at the same time preserving as many playing opportunities as possible. Despite this change, the Road to Mallorca currently retains a schedule of 29 tournaments.

In the official statement, the HotelPlanner Tour said: “Given the current situation in the Middle East, the decision has been taken to reschedule the two consecutive tournaments in the United Arab Emirates that were due to take place next month. The RAKBANK UAE Challenge will remain at Al Zorah Golf & Yacht Club and will now be contested from 24 to 27 September, while the Abu Dhabi Challenge, at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club, will take place the following week, from 1 to 4 October. These tournaments will now be played immediately after the Open de Portugal and just before the two consecutive events in China. This change to the schedule prioritises the safety of all members and, at the same time, ensures that playing opportunities are maximised, with 29 tournaments still on the Road to Mallorca calendar. Although the two tournaments have been rescheduled, this is a changing situation that we will continue to monitor very closely”.
