– Danish player Anders Emir Ejlersen (-18) is leading the Dormy Open after three rounds, a tournament on the HotelPlanner Tour, a circuit where this 26-year-old player does not have a category. He has been at the top since Thursday, but his finish today was simply stunning: eagle on the 16th hole, par 5; another eagle on the 17th, a short par 4, holing out from the sand; and a birdie on the 18th. A five-under-par finish on the last three holes to climb to the lead.
Ejlersen, currently ranked 1,429th in the world, is a regular in the Nordic Golf League, a satellite circuit, but this is only the sixth tournament he has played in his career on the HotelPlanner Tour, and the fourth of 2025, without having made a cut this year until now. Tomorrow, however, he faces the possibility of completely turning his career around, going out in the leading group with a one-shot advantage over Englishman Jamie Rhuterford (-17) and his compatriot Jonathan Goth Rasmussen (-17). It’s likely that he will find it a bit difficult to fall asleep tonight…
– The finish by Rocco Repetto (-13) was equally impressive as that of leader Ejlersen. Rocco is one of those who never give up and fight until the end, as he has shown on numerous occasions this year. Today he was far from the hot zone, almost in no man’s land, and finished with three birdies and an eagle in the last four holes to give himself a late chance of victory, even though he will start tomorrow five shots off the lead. The final stretch of the Upsala Golf Club (Uppsala, Sweden) was, as seen, sweet as honey today, but make no mistake: you still have to get there and perform the feats that, for example, Ejlersen and Repetto have done on that part of the course.
– Adri Arnaus (-10) also made a notable comeback with a round of 66, and Lucas Vacarisas (-9) with a scorecard of 67. Adding one more point at the end of the week is important at this stage of the season.
