The HotelPlanner Tour begins the second half of the season this week. The Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge takes place, the fifteenth event in the ranking out of a total of twenty-nine that will culminate on the 2nd of November with the grand Final of the Road to Mallorca.

Golf PGA France du Vaudreuil once again hosts an event that is becoming unmissable on the circuit. Big names like Ryan Fox, Aaron Rai, and Alexander Bjork have managed to win there. Until twelve months ago, this course was elusive for the interests of the Armada. In the eleven events held until 2024, none of ours had been able to touch the final trophy. Joel Moscatel changed everything with his agonising playoff victory against Benjamin Herbert. It was his second win of the season and confirmed his promotion to the DP World Tour five months before the end of the year.

There are two Spanish players who have a clear role model to look up to. Quim Vidal and Rocco Repetto Taylor already know what it is to win this season. The Catalan did so at the Delhi Challenge and the Andalusian at the Challenge de Cádiz. A victory is a giant step, but it does not guarantee one of the twenty cards that grant access to the elite of European golf, however, two do. Joel arrived a year ago after his triumph in the Challenge de España and in France, he made the definitive breakthrough. Without a doubt, Vidal and Repetto Taylor will want to emulate their compatriot.
They will not be the only Spaniards seeking glory in Le Vaudreuil. A total of twelve of ours are participating this week in France: Santi Tarrío, Adri Arnaus, Sebas García, Borja Virto, Lucas Vacarisas, Luis Masaveu, David Borda, Joseba Torres, Víctor Pastor, Juan Salama, in addition to the aforementioned Vidal and Repetto.
It is worth remembering that the Galician Santi Tarrío is also among the top twenty of the year and that a victory on his part would also be a giant step in his aspirations to return to the elite just a year after losing status.
The twelve Spaniards face a narrow course that requires precision from the tee, however, the main inconvenience appears this week in the sky. Severe storms are expected, especially on the first day of competition, and will undoubtedly affect play. Some forecasts even show the possibility of hail. However, as the week progresses, the forecast is for temperatures to rise, reaching 35º degrees by Sunday. Nothing will be missing this week.
