INFINITUM, the high-end private residential resort located in the heart of the Costa Dorada, is preparing to host the Final Stage of the DP World Tour Qualifying School for the sixth consecutive year.
The tournament will feature the newly renovated Lakes course for the first time and will welcome the stars of the competition following an €800,000 renovation. Greg Norman’s design has been elevated to higher standards of quality and play with the new Zoysia grass and redesigned bunkers that promise to pose new challenges for the contenders and improvements in sustainability.
Joaquín Mora Bertrán, Deputy General Manager of Golf, Beach Club and F&B at INFINITUM, comments: “It is a pleasure to welcome the DP World Tour to host the Final Stage of the Qualifying School at INFINITUM for the sixth consecutive year, and we are thrilled to start another exciting week of golf. While our courses are designed to be accessible for both beginners and Major winners, in tournament conditions, they are a serious challenge even for experienced professionals. Players will have to be at their best to earn a DP World Tour card. We are eager to see who rises to the challenge!”
A field packed with multiple DP World Tour stars, including former Ryder Cup player and returning vice-captain for next year’s competition in the USA, Edoardo Molinari, will join some of the sport’s brightest young stars for a six-round marathon with potentially career-defining stakes.
Although usually accessible to players of all levels, the two 18-hole courses of the Spanish resort are a tough test in tournament conditions and guarantee an exciting week of golf. Participants will play four alternating rounds – two on the Hills course and two on the Lakes course – before the cut, after which the surviving players will battle in two final rounds on the Lakes course. Only the top 25 finishers, plus ties, will earn a valuable DP World Tour card for the next season.

A Training Benchmark in Europe
The Final Stage of the Qualifying School has played a significant role in the meteoric rise of INFINITUM to become one of Europe’s leading training centres since its opening in 2008. Numerous national golf federations hold their winter training camps there for elite amateurs, including the Finnish Federation.
Meanwhile, the renowned resort will also host Scandinavia’s leading professional golf tour, the ECCO Tour, in February and March 2025, organising three ranking events over two weeks.
Renovation of the Lakes and Hills Courses
Following the renovation of Lakes, similar transformation works are planned to commence on the Hills course shortly after the Q-School concludes, at which point a course composed of the nine holes of the Ruins course, also designed by Norman, and the first nine of Hills will open for play.
European Golf Design, led by Dave Sampson, designer of the Marco Simone course in Rome for the 2023 Ryder Cup, will begin the renovation work in December 2024 and continue until early 2026.
Beyond Golf
In addition to 45 holes, two clubhouses, and extensive practice facilities, the Catalan resort hosts an award-winning Beach Club and several local cuisine restaurants.
Furthermore, it also features a growing residential project, with a wide range of apartments and villas available for purchase. Recently, INFINITUM has been awarded five stars in two categories of the European Property Awards 2024: the Landscape Architecture and Residential Development of 10-19 Units categories.
