United States has completed a strong comeback to win the appetizer of the Ryder Cup at Bethpage devised by Ten Golf for this week. A way to pass the time more quickly and entertainingly until the big event arrives. The fourth and final session of this game was won decisively this Sunday by the boys of Keegan Bradley. There were 10 points at stake, and they scored no less than 7.5 against 2.5. Definitive and overwhelming.

As you know, the way to score in this very particular, transoceanic, and virtual Ryder was through the rankings in the Procore Championship and the BMW PGA Championship. The matchups for the final round were established based on their positions in both tournaments after the third round, and the last points have been falling one way or another based on the final positions of each of them. The truth is that the Ryder players from the United States had a great Sunday, while for Europe it was much more inconsistent. There were good performances like McIlroy or Rahm and weaker ones like Fleetwood or Rose.

This is how the fourth and final session of this Ryder Cup appetizer ended and the final result:

Griffin (2nd) Vs. Hatton (5th): 1 point for USA

Scheffler (1st) Vs. Hovland (5th): 1 point for USA

Henley (19th) Vs. Aberg (20th): 1 point for USA

Spaun (6th) Vs. Fitzpatrick (5th): 1 point for Europe

Young (9th) Vs. Lowry (46th): 1 point for USA

Burns (13th) Vs. Rahm (13th): 0.5 point for each team

Cantlay (30th) Vs. Rose (61st); 1 point for USA

Morikawa (43rd) Vs. McIlroy (20th): 1 point for Europe

English (43rd) Vs. Fleetwood (46th): 1 point for USA

Thomas (69th) Vs. MacIntyre: 1 point for USA

Total points: USA 22.5 Vs. Europe 17.5

It could be said that the decisive point that gave the victory to the United States was achieved by Patrick Cantlay against Justin Rose. Right there, Bradley’s men reached 21.5 points and were already unreachable by Europe. As a curiosity, Jon Rahm has finished this Ryder Cup undefeated. Of the three points he has played (he was left out of the first day due to world ranking), he has won two and tied one. We sign right now that he also finishes undefeated at Bethpage in two weeks.

This Ryder appetizer ends with the European team traveling to New York to play Bethpage for two days. Today they will train on the course by playing nine holes, and tomorrow they will face 18. At least, that was the pre-established plan before the trip.
