The Volvo China Open is scheduled to be played in three weeks, from 19 to 22 March, while the Hero Indian Open would be played the following week, from 26 to 29. The main issue right now is that the airports in Dubai and Doha remain closed and are usual stopovers for crossing the world between Europe and Asia.
Moreover, it is clear to everyone that amidst such great instability, one should question whether it makes sense to play golf tournaments, at the risk of players, caddies, and DP World Tour employees, as well as all those who are part of the family organising the tournaments, potentially getting stranded in some countries. Everything becomes more complicated when it comes to Asia, precisely because of that kind of air bridge that the Middle East represents.
Does this mean that the tournaments in China and India are going to be cancelled? No, at least not for now. What it means is that there is a risk of them being cancelled. Certainly, the DP World Tour does not rule it out and leaves the door open.

I wanted to reassure you that we are closely monitoring the situation and are continuing to take the appropriate advice from Governments and our international travel advisers. This is an evolving situation and we will provide further updates as and when we have them.
