Gavin Green has been suspended for three months after breaching the Anti-Doping Policy of the European Tour Group, as confirmed by the governing body of the tour in an official statement this Tuesday. The Malaysian-born golfer, aged 32, tested positive for a banned substance that was present in a herbal supplement, available in Asia, which he had taken as a therapeutic treatment for a medical condition.
According to the statement, the suspension is applied retroactively from 5 December 2025, so Green will be able to compete again from 5 March 2026. Additionally, the European Tour Group has decided to disqualify him retrospectively from the Danish Golf Championship 2025, the tournament where the doping test that led to the positive result was conducted.
The statement emphasises that Green has fully cooperated with the tour throughout the process and has accepted the sanction imposed. For the time being, the organisation announced that no further comments will be made on the case.
