The United States captain of the Ryder Cup, Keegan Bradley, has named Kevin Kisner as one of his vice-captains for the Ryder Cup to be held next September at Bethpage.
Kisner joins Webb Simpson and Brandt Snedeker, who were named vice-captains in recent months, thus becoming the third assistant to the United States captain.
“They love Kevin,” Bradley highlighted, referring to the American players who will form the team. “Kisner is a proper locker room guy. He’s not going to be patting you on the back all the time. He’s going to mess with you, joke with you, but he’s also going to keep you very focused.”
Bradley wanted to add: “If Kevin walked into this room right now, he would change the atmosphere. When you’re in a room with all these Ryder Cup players and everyone is nervous, you need guys like Kevin.”
Kisner, aged 40, already served as a captain’s assistant during the Presidents Cup 2024 and has represented the United States as a player in the Presidents of 2017 and 22, with a career record of 2-2-3. Finally, the four-time champion on the PGA Tour will be part of a United States Ryder Cup team.
“I am incredibly grateful to Keegan for this opportunity to help guide the United States team in the Ryder Cup 2025,” Kisner said in a press release. “I love match play and the Ryder Cup is one of the biggest events in sport. I can’t wait to be part of it and hope to do everything possible to support Keegan, Webb, Brandt, and our talented team in September.”
