Eungenio López-Chacarra made his debut with very good feelings on the Korn Ferry Tour. The former LIV Golf player secured a valuable top-10 at the Tulum Championship at PGA Riviera Maya, a tournament that was played at the PGA Riviera Maya in Tulum, in Mexico. The Spaniard, with rounds of 70, 68, 74 and 69, finished tied for ninth, at seven under par, earning 72,500 points which, in a single event played by invitation, helped him move closer to the top 100 of the circuit’s overall standings.
Con este resultado, Chacarra climbs four places in the World Golf Ranking. He started the week in 125th place and after his top-10 he sits 121st in the world. Bruno Marques, the other Spaniard in the tournament, missed the cut with rounds of 80 and 74 in the first two rounds.

En este noveno evento de la temporada en la segunda división del golf estadounidense, el triunfo ha sido para Dylan Menante, who opened his trophy cabinet with a final round of 63 that allowed him to close the week at 19 under par and two shots clear of Blades Brown, setting the course record. The tournament, played from 16 to 19 April, brought together 156 players from 20 different countries and was the final international stop of the tour before the circuit returned to the United States.
Menante arrived on Sunday in the chasing group, two shots behind leader Blades Brown, and responded with a flawless round that included nine birdies. His 63 allowed him to overtake the young American, who at just 18 years old came close to becoming the youngest champion in Korn Ferry Tour history. Brown finished second at 13 under par, followed by Scotsman Sandy Scott in third with 12 under par.

This edition of the Tulum Championship at PGA Riviera Maya also showcased the host nation’s talent, with Álvaro Ortiz, the only Mexican with full membership on the Korn Ferry Tour, making the cut and competing in front of his home fans. Alejandro Madariaga, a player from Puebla and champion of the Bajío Open 2025, made the cut in his first appearance on the Korn Ferry Tour, becoming a benchmark for national talent on the US circuit.
A unique experience in the Riviera Maya
Beyond the competition, the Tulum Championship at PGA Riviera Maya offered an experience that combined sport, culture and gastronomy. An inaugural parade blended Maya tradition with the energy of the tournament, while Hoteles Bahía Príncipe provided top-level hospitality and dining for players and visitors.
PGA Riviera Maya, the only course in Mexico with a partnership with the PGA of America and recognised as Best Golf Course in Mexico by the World Golf Awards in 2024 and 2025, consolidates itself with this second edition of the Tulum Championship as a venue for international professional golf. The course is located within Tulum Country Club, distinguished as Latin America’s Best Golf Real Estate Venue 2025.
