Fifteen Spanish players began the pre-qualifying of the Ladies European Tour School in Morocco, and ten have secured their place in the grand final after 54 holes. A perfect ten. Yes, ladies.
Paz Marfá, Miriam Ayora, Teresa Díez, Natasha Fear, María Parra, Marta Pérez, Laura Gómez, Marta Sanz, Clara Moyano, and Marina Escobar continue to fight for the card for 2025. Raquel Romero, Marta Muñoz, Elisa Orduna, Reme Cortés, and María Villanueva have been left behind.
The ten qualified Spanish players join those who were already exempt directly for the Final: Teresa Toscano, Harang Lee, Amaia Latorre, María Herráez, and Blanca Fernández. Thus, a total of 15 Spanish players will compete for the LET card from next Monday, 16th December, until Friday, 20th December. Five days of competition at the Royal Golf Marrakech and Al Maaden Golf Marrakech courses. The first four rounds will be played alternately on the two courses, and the fifth and final round will be at Al Maaden Golf. After the fourth day, a cut will be made, and the top 20 and ties will earn the card. Those finishing between 21st and 50th place will receive a conditional card.
The absolute success occurred this Thursday at Samanah Golf By Nicklaus. Four Spanish players started the pre-qualifying there, and all four have made it. The cut was set at +7, and Paz Marfá (PAR), Miriam Ayora (PAR), Teresa Díez (+6), with a great comeback, and Natasha Fear (+6) have entered.
Another success was at Noria Golf Club. There, we only had María Parra (+8), and the player from Cádiz achieved it with a demonstration of infinite grit and determination. The round became very complicated for her, to the point of being outside the cut with one hole to go. However, she finished with a great birdie on the 18th and entered triumphantly.
At Palm Golf Ourika, Marta Pérez (+3), Laura Gómez (+4), Marta Sanz (+4), and Clara Moyano (+5) qualified. The cut was set at +6. Finally, at Golf Club Rotana, Marina Escobar (+5) qualified, also making a comeback in the last round with a scorecard of 72 strokes. Here, the cut was set at +5.
