Jabra Ladies Open 2019. Annabel Dimmock and Pauline Roussin-Bouchard are playing hand in hand in the tournament on the last day. On that occasion, the Englishwoman inaugurated her record on the Ladies European Tour. Dimmock (-19), this Sunday, has come full circle again and has once again beaten the Frenchwoman to add her second professional title at the KPMG Women’s Irish Open.

The Englishwoman cries with emotion. Logical. It has been a five-year wait in which she has also had to face a painful wrist injury. She didn’t know if she would win again and she has done it with her father carrying the bag on his shoulder. More emotional, impossible. “I’m in shock, I can’t believe it, it’s a dream come true,” Dimmock said as soon as she lifted the trophy.

It has been a tough battle at Carton House. A hand-to-hand between the Englishwoman and Pauline Roussin-Bouchard (-19). The Frenchwoman has played like an angel in this decisive round. She came out this morning five strokes behind Annabel herself and has handed in a spectacular card of 65 strokes that has allowed her to fight for victory until the last breath.

Pauline arrived at the tee of hole 10 four strokes behind, but the 24-year-old player has chained four consecutive birdies and at hole 14 everything was even. Pauline even managed to get ahead with another birdie on the 15th. It seemed she had it in her hand, but she missed a putt of just one meter on hole 16. Everything was even again. She recovered perfectly with a birdie on the 17th to which Dimmock responded with a great three-meter putt. Both sealed the par on the last flag and everything was to be decided in the playoff.

In the first playoff hole, the Frenchwoman took the initiative with a great start while Dimmock went to the left rough. From that area, Annabel hit one of the great shots of the day and even gave herself a birdie option. Finally two pars and they returned to the 18th tee.

There Pauline made a mistake that completely condemned her. The Frenchwoman has changed the driver for a three wood with the intention of having a complete second shot. She went very far to the left to the second cut of rough and the hole has become very uphill for her. She finished with a bogey and Annabel signed a solid par that gave her the victory. Hands to the face to cover an emotion contained for many years. The third victory Roussin-Bouchard will have to wait, but at only 24 years old, there is no doubt that they will come.

As far as the Armada is concerned, it has not been the expected day for Luna Sobrón. The Mallorcan has signed her worst round of the week and has not fought at any time for victory at Carton House. Round of 76 strokes and without any birdie along the way have moved her beyond the top ten.

She adds her twelfth top 25 of the season in one of the most consistent years of her career. The first victory in the LET will have to wait, but with weeks like this there is no doubt that it will come sooner or later.

Mireia Prat (-4) has chained her second consecutive round of par and closes the tournament within the top 40. Maria Hernandez (-3), for her part, has signed a solid round of 70 strokes that has allowed her to climb the table. Finally, Marta Sanz has moved back with a final round of 76 strokes and has closed the tournament in 58th place.

Leona Maguire (-10) and Georgia Hall (-10), the two players who will be present at the Solheim Cup, have copied the last 36 holes of the event (72 on Saturday and 68 on Sunday) and have finished tied at -10 and in the top 15 of the tournament.
