Last week, on his social media profiles, Anthony Kim celebrated two years of sobriety, something that was celebrated by his followers. But a few days later, he made a worrying announcement, revealing that he is suffering from a blood clot in his leg, although he assures that “he will be fine”.

Kim is currently competing as a ‘wildcard’ player in LIV Golf and this Tuesday, on his Instagram account, he made this concerning news about his health public. He said he had been feeling unwell for a couple of weeks before the new season of the Saudi tour kicked off in Riyadh, and he didn’t understand the reason.

On Monday, he discovered it was a clot in his leg. The player did not specify which one or provide further details, only saying he will be “fine”. Kim finished tied for 49th and 51st in the first two events of the new LIV Golf season. The former world top 10 returned to golf in 2024 after a 12-year hiatus during which he experienced a complex personal struggle.

He joined the Saudi tour as a wildcard. His best result in 12 events is a 36th place in the tournament at Greenbrier. Following this worrying announcement about his health, it is unclear if he will be able to participate in the next two LIV Golf events in Hong Kong and Singapore. The important thing for him now is to recover as soon as possible and resume his new life.
