When Brooks Koepka (-15) is in the fight to win a tournament, he moves through the holes like the good guy in western movies. He enters the saloon through the swing doors, silence falls and he orders a triple x whisky at the bar. You know nothing is going to happen to him. Everyone, like him, is armed to the teeth, but they fear him. Many don’t even dare to look up from under the brim of their hats. He’s not necessarily the fastest draw in town, but the important thing is that others believe he is. It’s an attitude. It’s poise. It’s the confidence he exudes.
Today he did it again at the LIV Golf in Singapore. He won the tournament. It’s his fourth victory at LIV Golf. No one has won more than him to date in the Saudi league. He breaks the tie he had with Talor Gooch and Cameron Smith and sends a warning to sailors two weeks before the PGA Championship, the second Major of the season that will be held in Valhalla and where he defends the title.
Koepka has won with an iron hand. He signed 68 strokes in the last round and won with a two-stroke lead over Marc Leishman (-13) and Cameron Smith (-13), author of the round of the day with 64 strokes. The new putter has changed Koepka’s life. Top 10 for Jon Rahm and Eugenio López Chacarra
