Ana Peláez began her participation this Thursday in the Q Series, the LPGA Tour School Final that takes place over six days at the Crossings course and the Falls course, two fields of the Robert Trent Jones Golf at Magnolia Grove in Alabama. The first 45 and tied at the end of the 108 holes will receive the LPGA Tour card for 2024. It’s not an easy task, but it’s also not like climbing Everest, especially considering that a total of 104 golfers are participating.
Obviously, the hardest part of these Q Series is getting into them. The process is long, hard and devastating. Peláez achieved it thanks to her magnificent season on the Ladies European Tour. She finished among the top ten in the Race to Costa del Sol and that allowed her to earn a place to compete in Alabama.
The most positive thing is that Ana has shown that she arrives in a great moment of physical, technical and mental form. Not in vain, just four days ago she finished in fourth position in the Andalucía Costa del Sol Open of Spain, fighting for victory until the last holes. She is going through a sweet spot and hopes to take advantage of it to finish on Tuesday among those 45 best and tied.
The golfer from Malaga is the only Spanish woman present in this LPGA Tour School Final. Therefore, she is the only one with chances to join Carlota Ciganda and Azahara Muñoz next year on the main women’s circuit in the world.
Beyond Ana, the presence of some players such as Jennifer Song, who has Amy Yang, champion of the Race to CME Globe ten days ago, as a caddie in her bag. There are also Alexandra Fosterling, Diksha Dagar and Trichat Cheenglab, who come from Europe, Pauline Roussin, Lucy Li or Mariajo Uribe. The one who is not, despite having qualified, is Anne Van Dam. The Dutch golfer has chosen to focus on the Ladies European Tour in 2024.
