A luxury line-up. The world’s top 4 will be present at the HSBC Women’s World Championship at the Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore from February 29 to March 3. Lilia Vu, Ruoning Yin, Celine Boutier and Minjee Lee will head the list of participants in the Asian event.

Alongside the two-time major champion and defending champion, South Korean Jin Young Ko, the world number 1, American Lilia Vu, will look to take advantage of this LPGA Tour event after her great 2023 season, in which she won the first and last Major of the year, in addition to two more tournaments.

“In Asia was really where I started last year to strengthen my confidence. I arrived in Singapore just after winning my first LPGA Tour title and, although it was the first time I played there, I felt very comfortable and loved the atmosphere and the Sentosa course. I finished among the top 15 in my debut and this year my goal is to lift the trophy on Sunday afternoon,” explained the Californian of Asian origin.

Chinese Yin and French Boutier moved up in the rankings after winning their first major titles at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and the Amundi Evian Championship, respectively. Lee, a two-time Major winner, ended her year strong by winning two of the last four events of the season.

“I can’t wait to debut at the HSBC, as it is one of the most important events in Asia and I have dreamed of being able to play there. Many players call it the Major of Asia and tell me it’s their favourite week of the year, so I can’t wait to get there and experience it for myself. Having benefited so much from the China CGA-HSBC junior golf programme while growing up, I believe that HSBC’s involvement as the main sponsor makes it even more important for me to play my best, as I want to make them proud and thank them for everything they have done to help me on my path to becoming a professional and reaching the world number 1,” Yin assured.

Tickets for this 16th edition of the HSBC are on sale and for detailed information about it, just go to www.hsbcgolf.com/womens/tickets. Of the 14 previous winners, 12 are Grand Slam champions, a fact that supports the golfers’ claim that this is the Major of Asia.

The tournament will once again be held at the famous Tanjong at the Sentosa Golf Club, which is hosting its eleventh edition of the tournament and proudly holds the titles of Best golf course in the world, Best golf course in Asia and Best golf course in Singapore, awarded at the World Golf Awards 2023.
