Spanish golf continues to shine in the United States. Once again it was a player from Madrid, this time Paula Francisco, who took the title, the Gators Invitational, with a total score of -7. This is the first individual victory for the player from the Universidad de Florida.

Her team dominated this 54th edition of the tournament; so much so that they won by a margin of 18 strokes. Paula Francisco played a big part in this milestone, as her ten under par set a tournament record. No one has ever posted such a low score.

Third time lucky. Paula is playing her third season with the Gators and adds a victory that had been eluding her. She carded rounds of 68, 65 and 67 to finish five strokes ahead of her university teammate Siuue Wu, the runner-up.

If February produced two wins from Andrea Revuelta and Paula Martín, the two Stanford golfers, March has also got off to a good start. Revuelta secured the first Spanish individual victory of 2026. She won with -11 overall at the Thunderbird Intercollegiate in Arizona, a tournament in which Paula Martín herself (-7) was second. Together they led their university to the team title.

Two weeks later it was Paula Martín’s turn, as she won the Bruin Wave Invitational (Valencia Country Club, California), where she beat her friend and teammate Andrea Revuelta. The Madrid golf talent pipeline is becoming truly impressive.
