Anthony Kim last appeared in a golf tournament in 2012. It was at the Wells Fargo Championship and he withdrew before starting due to injury. It was his third consecutive week in which he dropped out of a tournament due to a medical issue. From there, emptiness. Silence. Mystery. He has hardly been seen again in the odd stolen photo or video. He basically removed himself from circulation. Kim was an extraordinary and precocious player, one of those called to fight for the Number One in the world.

Well, twelve years later, as revealed by the medium Golf.com, Kim is considering returning to professional golf. Moreover, they assure citing several sources that his desire right now is to return this very year. In this sense, conversations have been initiated with the PGA Tour to know exactly where he stands and what tournaments he could play. In principle, as a PGA Tour tournament champion, he could enter some minor circuit tournaments, beyond the invitations he would receive and which, obviously, would not be few.

The other route he has open is to return in LIV Golf. In the aforementioned information it is stated that Greg Norman has already held conversations with Kim to incorporate him into the Saudi league, although there is not even speculation about the possibility of having reached an agreement. Of course, his arrival would mean a significant advertising impact and Kim would be allowed to compete with less pressure than that which surfaces on the PGA Tour.

His closest environment says that Kim has been training hard for a long time, dedicating many hours to golf and that he is even pushing the machine with the physical part. He is playing golf well and is seen with confidence. He is 38 years old.

Kim won two tournaments in 2008, the first of them at just 22 years old. He got into the Ryder Cup that year in Valhalla and even reached the sixth place in the world ranking. He was a very serious player. Now the window opens for him to play again, either on the PGA Tour or in LIV Golf. Undoubtedly, if his return is finally confirmed, he will become one of the great attractions of the season.
