A final opportunity to try and achieve goals before the year closes with Tiger‘s tournament, which doesn’t award points, and two fun festive events for parent-child pairs. The 18 holes that will determine which 125 players retain full playing rights for the next season and which 10 golfers secure a spot, alongside those already qualified, in the first two designated events of 2025.
A last chance at the Seaside Course of the Sea Island Golf Club where four players arrive with everything in their hands to make the ‘sorpasso’ in the fight for the cards. A year ago, only one golfer out of all those starting the RSM Classic outside the top 125 positions managed to break into it in this tournament. This time, several can turn their situation around 180 degrees practically at the last minute. However, they will have to confirm it on a Sunday of all or almost nothing.
Daniel Berger (-12), Michael Thorbjornsen (-12), Henrik Norlander (-8), and Hayden Springer (-8) will start the final round intending to maintain or improve their current positions in the standings to break into the cut line for the cards. A position from which they have provisionally displaced Joel Dahmen (-1), who will have the chance to avoid his fall on Sunday, and Sam Ryder, Zac Blair, and Wesley Bryan, who missed the Friday cut and depend on their rivals having a disastrous Sunday and barely scoring.
Those who manage to close this FedEx Fall among the top 125 will have full status on the PGA Tour for 2025. Those who finish between 126th and 150th place will gain rights to the Korn Ferry Tour and conditional status in the top division of American golf, allowing them to play some tournaments. Meanwhile, in the Aon Next 10 battle, Kevin Yu (-5) would currently be the only one to break into the positions this week that grant the right to play the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Genesis Invitational.

At the top, the battle for the tournament victory is between Vince Whaley (-14) and Maverick McNealy (-14). Both share the lead after the first 54 holes of the tournament and the ambition to debut as winners on the PGA Tour in this RSM Classic, something nine players have done before.
