El Hero World Challenge, tournament organised by Tiger Woods in Bahamas, has released the pairings and tee times for the first round, which takes place this Thursday in Albany. An exciting day of competition featuring two Texans in the star match: the World Number One and favourite to win, Scottie Scheffler, and the three-time major winner and three-time PGA Tour winner, Jordan Spieth.
The two players from Dallas will close the first round from 12:25 p.m. (4:25 p.m. Spanish mainland time). Just before, Cameron Young and Keegan Bradley will tee off at 12:14 p.m. (4:14 p.m. in our country), with Robert MacIntyre and Justin Rose in the penultimate match of the day (11:52 a.m. in Bahamas, 3:52 p.m. in Spain). Other players present at this event include Sam Burns, J.J. Spaun, Alex Noren, Billy Horschel, Hideki Matsuyama, Wyndham Clark, Sepp Straka, Corey Conners, Brian Harman, Harris English, Chris Gotterup, Andrew Novak, Aaron Rai, and Akshay Bhatia.
The Hero World Challenge, a no-cut tournament, offers five million dollars in prizes (unofficial money for the circuit, as it is a tournament that also does not award points), with a cheque for the winner of one million dollars. Tiger Woods, with five titles, is the most decorated player in this event. Scheffler seeks his third consecutive victory after winning in 2023 and 2024. Previously, Viktor Hovland won twice consecutively, who is not participating in this edition, as well as Jon Rahm, the only Spanish winner of the tournament, in 2018.
