The Plantation Course at Kapalua, in Maui, Hawaii, is the traditional venue where the natural year begins on the PGA Tour with the dispute of the Sentry Tournament of Champions. This time, with the implementation of the new calendar format of the circuit, after the tournaments of the FedEx Fall last autumn. An appointment in which the champions of past events face each other in search of the first victory of 2024.
The Spaniard Jon Rahm will not be present, following his recent signing for LIV Golf, but we will be able to enjoy many of the world’s best players with real great matches. Like the one that will be played, for example, by Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele and Tom Kim, which opens the game tomorrow Thursday at 7.45 local time (18.45 in Spanish peninsular time) or the one that will be played by Tommy Fleetwood, Patrick Cantlay and Tony Finau (who continues, for now, on the tour after rumours of his move to LIV) from 9.21 (20.21 in Spain).

One of the great talents of European golf, Ludvig Aberg, will play with Max Homa and Rickie Fowler in the first two rounds of the tournament, starting tomorrow at 9.33 (20.33 in our country). Although the highlight of this start of the year on the American tour may be the matches that will be played on Thursday and Friday by the world’s Number One, Scottie Scheffler, along with Viktor Hovland and Jordan Spieth. Tomorrow they will close the first round starting from tee 1 at 11.39 hours (22.39 on the Iberian Peninsula).
