Tiger Woods returned to competition after the passing of his mother Kutilda. The Cypress native faced off in the TGL with his team, the Jupiter Links Golf Club, against New York.
The fifteen-time major champion had 199 yards to the flag on the 13th hole, but heard his caddie say 99 instead and proceeded to hit a 99-yard wedge, which understandably fell far short of the target.

While a puzzled Woods, who lost that hole to Cameron Young, tried to understand what had just happened, his Jupiter teammates Kevin Kisner and Tom Kim burst into laughter.
Immediately after finishing, he declared with a laugh: “I heard 99 yards, so I went out and hit it. Definitely one of the most embarrassing moments of my golfing career. I just messed up. It was embarrassing.”
The New York team, consisting of Young, Rickie Fowler, and former US Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick, overwhelmed Jupiter, who found themselves trailing 8-0 before closing the day with a 10-3 total.
