Bridgestone Golf has released a podcast this Thursday with Tiger Woods as the main guest. The winner of 15 Majors has reiterated that he is physically well. “The fusion I underwent in my ankle has gone as well as the one I had in my back. The pain has disappeared. Now other parts of my body bother me due to imbalance, but I’m used to this and I know how to handle it,” he explained.

Tiger has once again shown optimism, although cautious with his swing. He explained that he is in the umpteenth reinvention of his way of hitting the ball and that this process takes time. “Now I have had to make some adaptations in my golf swing, trying to figure out, it’s like learning a new body, just like I did in 2017 when I came back from my fusion, trying to learn a new swing and a new body, what are my limitations, and I’m still doing that. I can hit the centre of the face, but it doesn’t go as far, so I hope that as I get more comfortable and understand what my limitations are and what my peak is, then I will start to improve a bit,” he pointed out.

In addition, Woods, the big star alongside his son at the PNC Championship taking place this week, has taken a fun test where he has discovered some very curious things.

Text or FaceTime?: “What do you mean?” Do you prefer to text someone or make a FaceTime call? “Oh, text. By far, I don’t want to talk to anyone”.

What’s your favourite food after playing? If it had to be the last meal, it would always be Porterhouse with Layonnaise potatoes.

Favourite baseball team? The Dodgers.

LA NFL? The Raiders. There’s no other team.

College football team? Stanford. Cardinal, of course. It’s a joke. I love Stanford.

Favourite college class? Economics 101. My economics professor was one of Bill Clinton‘s advisors. Once a week he went to Washington and advised Clinton on his economic decisions about macroeconomics and microeconomics. He came back the next day and applied real-world situations to what we were learning. It was the best experience I’ve ever had.

First car? A 1988 navy blue Toyota Supra. It roared down the road because I rectified the exhaust pipe. People heard you when you arrived at the first tee.

The coolest celebrity you’ve met besides yourself? Well, I would have to say two because they are different. If you want to say celebrity, I would say Prince. But, the most impressive person I’ve met, it gives me chills just thinking about it, and I had the opportunity to be with him on several occasions, was Nelson Mandela.

Last question. If golf wasn’t your thing, if you weren’t playing golf, which is hard to imagine, what do you think you would be doing? Military.
