The Genesis Invitational, the PGA Tour tournament that kicks off this Thursday at the Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California, marks the start of the season for Tiger Woods. The Californian, who acts as host, will undoubtedly be the star of a high-profile event that awards 20 million dollars in prizes. And as expected, he will play the first two rounds with his preferred playing partner.

Justin Thomas, one of his best friends on the circuit and with whom he regularly shares practice rounds, will be one of the two players accompanying the Tiger in his first event of the new course. The third golfer in Woods‘ party, chosen as one of the highlighted groups, will be Gary Woodland, winner of a US Open and participating in this Genesis Invitational invited by Tiger.

His first match will start on Thursday, February 15 at 9.25 local time (nine hours later in Spanish mainland time) and the second, on Friday 16 at 11.54. Other highlighted matches of these first two rounds of the tournament will be those played by Tom Kim, Patrick Cantlay and Jordan Spieth; Collin Morikawa, Matt Fitzpatrick and Scottie Scheffler; or Wyndham Clark, Rory McIlroy and Max Homa.
