Tiger Woods and Donald Trump played a round of golf this Sunday at the Trump International in Doral, a course located in Miami and owned by the President of the United States. This was reported by several American journalists who follow the activities of the current occupant of the Oval Office.

It is not the first time they have been seen together, but it is a significant meeting considering that last week the PGA Tour held a meeting at the White House with the leader to try to accelerate the agreement with the Saudi Public Investment Fund. Jay Monahan and Adam Scott attended that meeting, and initially, Tiger was also expected to be present, although he ultimately withdrew after the death of his mother was announced.

Nothing more has emerged from that meeting on the golf course, but it seems easy to guess that much was discussed about the future of golf and the possible solutions to the current rift in this sport. Some sources suggest that Charlie, Tiger’s son, was also with them.

After the game, Tiger Woods traveled to Torrey Pines to play the Genesis Invitational starting next Thursday, while the American president traveled to New Orleans to attend the victory of the Philadelphia Eagles against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Superbowl. It is likely that, precisely in the lead-up to the Genesis, Tiger will shed more light on this face-to-face meeting on the golf course with Donald Trump.
