With his participation in the recent Open de España, held at the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid where he achieved a tied 9th place, Jon Rahm concluded his 2025 season. Unless there is a last-minute change, we will have to wait until early February, when the new LIV Golf season kicks off in Riyadh, to see the champion from Barrika in action again, as he decided not to participate in the final series of the DP World Tour.

So the Basque golfer, back in the United States, where he has lived for years, is already enjoying his holidays. A well-deserved break after a year without individual tournament victories, but crowned as both individual and team champion in LIV Golf and achieved top 10 finishes in the PGA Championship (tied 8th) and the US Open (tied 7th), with a tied 14th place at Augusta National.

This downtime for Jon allows him to spend more time with his wife and children and to enjoy other sports he is a big fan of, such as the NBA. Thus, Jon was spotted at the Mortgage Matchup Center, formerly PHX Arena in Phoenix, where he resides, enjoying the game between the Phoenix Suns and the Sacramento Kings with a victory for the home team by a final score of 120 to 116.

Rahm was accompanied by his wife, Kelley Cahill, and posed for the Suns media, who shared his image on social networks. The Spaniard, a key player in the European Ryder Cup team that repeated victory against the United States last September at Bethpage Black, has just over three months ahead to disconnect from competition, rest, and prepare for a new and exciting season, full of challenges both in LIV Golf and in the majors and his occasional appearances in the DP World Tour.
