The 2025 European Ladies’ Individual Championship has started almost perfectly for Spanish golf at the Frankfurter Golf Club (Frankfurt am Main, Germany). Andrea Revuelta (-7), second with an exceptional seven under par for the day, has led a delegation that has performed at a high level.

With captain Irene Rollán at the helm, the Spanish delegation knows that the par 5s are key this week. The course finishes with three in the last four holes, and they can be reached in two shots to the green. Whoever best takes advantage of these par 5s will have a lot to gain, and with that in mind, our golfers have set out to play.

Andrea Revuelta’s round of 66 strokes was one to frame, especially her finish: birdie-birdie-birdie-birdie-eagle. It was the culmination of an outstanding day of golf that strengthens her bid for the title (remember she was second in 2024).

The Madrid native was not the only Spaniard to show her credentials with a notable performance. With -6, Anna Cañadó finished, scoring eight birdies, two more than those recorded on Balma Dávalos‘s card (-5). Andrea, Anna, and Balma, three names that are on the rise after the first day.

Looking further, the -3 of Paula de Francisco and Lucía Iraola – with seven birdies in the last eight holes between them to finish – is another reason to smile. Also, the -2 of a Paula Martín who went from more to less, but is well positioned for what’s to come.

And to round off an exceptional Wednesday, also finishing under par, specifically with -1, were Paula Balanzategui and Ángela Revuelta.
