The PGA Championship faces this Saturday its third round at the Aronimink Golf Club course in Philadelphia, the classic moving day, the day when those aiming to win the second Major of the season will have to start moving up to give themselves a real chance on Sunday.
The third round will be played in pairs, all starting from the 1st tee, with two Spaniards in contention after the cut. David Puig and Jon Rahm remain in contention, while Ángel Ayora missed out after the first 36 holes.
The main Spanish focus will be on David Puig‘s pairing, who will play at 19:40, peninsular Spanish time, alongside Scottie Scheffler, the World No. 1. It will be the first time in his career that Puig shares a group with Scheffler, a highly demanding setting and also a great opportunity to continue measuring himself against the absolute elite on a key day. Another trial by fire.
Earlier, Jon Rahm will tee off at 18:50, accompanied by Andrew Putnam. The man from Barrika arrives on Saturday with room to attack and with the need to post a low round if he wants to move closer to the top spots before the final day.
