The subscribers of Ten Golf have spoken and it’s worth listening to them. On the occasion of the draw for a pack of 12 Titleist Pro V1x balls, we asked them for their predictions for the Majors of 2026. In other words, a simple and direct question: which player will win the Masters, who will take the PGA, who will lift the US Open, and who will close the majors season with the Claret Jug of the Open Championship.
The survey has been a success. They have voted massively and the results are very interesting. Here they are broken down into points:
– At least 31 different players have been named on at least one occasion as candidates to win Majors. Overall, the one who received the most votes is Jon Rahm, with just over 20 percent of the predictions, closely followed by Scottie Scheffler, with 19.44%. In third place is Rory, with 11.32% of the votes, and the fourth place goes to Tommy Fleetwood, with just under 9% of the votes.
– There are only seven players who have received at least one vote to win each of the four Majors: Rahm, Scheffler, McIlroy, Fleetwood, Bryson DeChambeau, Xander Schauffele, and David Puig.
– Let’s go to the distribution by Majors. In the Masters, the big favourite is Jon Rahm. It seems that the Ten Golf subscriber likes to support their own. The man from Barrika takes 26.85% of the votes. He dominates. He leads Scheffler by more than seven points. Fifteen different players have been voted for the Masters, including Fleetwood, Puig, Aberg, Schauffele, Rose, Hovland, Hatton, Thomas, and DeChambeau, players who do not yet have the Green Jacket. Of all of them, the only one not yet qualified is Puig, so there is not only confidence that the young man from La Garriga will qualify, but some even believe he can win it. These are the expectations that this player generates. The curious note is that one of the Ten Golf subscribers has voted for Olazábal. Why not. Sergio García has also earned the trust of some voters.
– As for the PGA Championship, the most curious thing is that it is the most evenly distributed Major. Twenty-one different players have been voted for. The greatest confidence is placed in Scottie Scheffler, with 23.14% of the votes, followed by Jon Rahm with 21.29%. Very close. The third is McIlroy, who does not reach 10 percent. Here Fleetwood has also received a lot of support, as well as more outsider players today like Cantlay, Morikawa, Dustin Johnson, Shane Lowry, or Sam Burns. As for the Spaniards, besides the great support for Rahm, there is also support for Puig, Ayora, and Josele. Here Sergio does not receive any votes.
– We are now at the US Open, the third Major of the year. Eighteen different players have been voted for. Scheffler wins by a landslide with 26.85% of the votes. There is a lot of faith placed in his Grand Slam Career. The second most voted is Rahm, although at a great distance: 14.81%. Meanwhile, once again McIlroy closes the podium with just under 13 percent. This is the only Major in which Tyrrell Hatton has not received votes. Surprising if we consider that he almost won it this year. Among the Spaniards, Puig once again receives a good handful of votes, as does Josele Ballester, with even more support than David for the US Open, again Ángel Ayora and Alex del Rey. The main surprise in this Major is a vote received by the Mexican Carlos Ortiz, who was precisely fighting for victory last year.
– The last Major of the year is the Open Championship. Here confidence is placed in 18 different players again. The most voted is again Rahm, with almost 20 percent of the votes, followed by Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood. In this case, the big surprise is Scheffler’s downfall, who does not even reach 10 percent of the support, despite being the current holder of the Claret Jug. Curious. In the British, Robert MacIntyre appears strongly, Sergio García is backed again, David Puig and Josele Ballester are believed in once more, as well as Ayora, who has received confidence as a Major winner in all Majors except the Masters, the same as Ballester. The big outsider in this vote is Rasmus Neergaard Petersen. It is surprising that there is confidence in him before any of the Hojgaard brothers, surely the big absentees from these votes along with Russell Henley or JJ Spaun, Number 5 and 6 in the world ranking. The bet on Maverick McNealy in the Open is also curious.
– Another who has received support in all Majors except the Masters is Marco Penge. The subscribers of Ten Golf, after seeing him win the Open de España, among other tournaments in 2025, are convinced that he will continue his progression and break the majors barrier next year.
– There is confidence in DeChambeau to win in each of the Majors, but not much. The support does not even reach 5 percent of the total votes.
