The best tournaments of 2025 in the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and LIV Golf

In over 24 hours, a new year will begin that, with a few minimal exceptions, will reset the counter for players on the main tours. The PGA Tour will kick off from 2nd to 5th January with the Sentry Tournament of Champions, the tournament of champions, and from there, 365 days of competition will commence in which golfers from the American tour, the DP World Tour, and LIV Golf, who will face each other in the majors, will fight for their goals.

In the European circuit, not everyone will start from scratch in 2025 since, after the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, five initial events were held that counted towards the new season, two in Australia and three in Africa, where points were already distributed for the Race. The Hero Dubai Desert Classic from 16th to 19th January will resume the contest, after a few days of team competition in the Team Cup, a test for the Ryder Cup next September that does not distribute points.

The latest tour to return will be, as usual, LIV Golf, whose first scheduled event will take place in the first week of February in Riyadh. Until then, some players will take the opportunity to play in other circuits where they meet the requirements to participate or will seek to prepare individually for a new season in the Saudi league, which for now has slowed down in terms of high-profile signings while a global agreement is still being negotiated.

In short, a long list of tournaments in the three most powerful circuits in the world (to which could be added, for example, the International Series of the Asian Tour, with the regular presence of several LIV stars) that should be organised by dates and tours to not miss anything. All eyes will be on the majors, which we have already reviewed on Ten-Golf, but the list of regular events essential for all golf fans is enormous, and we review it in detail below.
