– Jon Rahm has won the individual ranking of LIV Golf in both seasons he has played in the Saudi league, each time ahead of Joaquín Niemann. So far, nothing we weren’t already aware of. But there is another much more interesting and even surprising way to assess the Spanish player’s solidity in LIV Golf. It involves compiling the historical ranking of the four seasons this competition has been running (2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025). Well, with only two seasons under his belt, Jon is already, as of today, the second player who has accumulated the most ranking points in the entire history of LIV, only behind Niemann. The Chilean, who has been present for all four seasons, has accumulated a total of 573.88 points, while the Spaniard has 461.33.
– To date, and according to the data released by LIV Golf for each of its seasons, a total of 96 players have played at least one tournament in the Saudi league since its inception in 2022 up to today, with the fourth campaign already concluded, although only 82 have managed to score at least one point (remember: you have to finish within the top 24 in a tournament to score even a fraction). Here we present the top 25 of the historical ranking from the first tournament (2022) to the last (2025):

– Within this top 25, there are only four players who have not been in all four seasons of LIV Golf. As explained, one is Jon Rahm (2024 and 2025), and the other three are Dean Burmester (2023, 2024, and 2025), Sebastián Muñoz (2023, 2024, and 2025), and Tyrrell Hatton (2024 and 2025). Burmester and Muñoz, without being obviously high-profile signings, have turned out to be very profitable additions.
– David Puig, with a notable performance in 2025, has already climbed to the 27th position in this historical ranking with a total of 165.39 points, while Eugenio Chacarra, with three seasons in the Saudi league, one less than Puig, scored 90.67 points and occupies the 40th position in this particular ranking.
– Particularly noteworthy are the mere 84.2 points that Lee Westwood has accumulated over the four seasons, a figure that Jon Rahm had already reached and surpassed in his first five tournaments in LIV Golf, without having won yet. Not to mention the poor performance of Ian Poulter, with a total of 69.72 points in four seasons (Tom McKibbin, in his first year, has already scored 65.87; and Josele Ballester, in a handful of tournaments, has already accumulated 39.28). Even worse has been Martin Kaymer, with 58.87 points in four seasons.
