The night of Tuesday saw the penultimate day of the regular calendar of the TGL League take place at the SoFi Center in Florida, the interactive and technological golf league devised by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. A date that showed that those who precisely shaped this original competition, with a very televisual format, are on the verge of missing out on the playoffs.
The Bay Golf Club, the favourite for the final victory due to their performance since the competition began, displayed their champion mentality with a convincing 6-3 victory over Jupiter Links Golf Club of Tiger, who rested this time. With their triumph, they reclaimed the top spot in the standings with the league’s final series already on the horizon.
Shane Lowry, wearing a jersey with the number 9 of Andre Iguodala, a player from the Golden State Warriors present at the event, put on a show. Just like Wyndham Clark and Min Woo Lee, with the 30 of the two-time MVP of the NBA, Stephen Curry. An appropriate choice for what is so far the best team of this TGL.
Another illustrious visitor was Brooks Koepka. The golfer from West Palm Beach, one of the current stars of LIV Golf, watched the match live. A duel that featured a genius moment from Min Woo Lee, holing from off the green, a terrifying shot from Kevin Kisner, the classic ‘cannon shot’ to which he reacted with a smile, the already classic show of Tom Kim, genius and figure, and a defeat for Tiger‘s team by 6-3 that leaves them on the ropes, just like Boston of Rory.
Only three matches remain to be played in the regular season of this inaugural TGL course, in which they will try to turn the situation around and get into the final series that will begin on the 17th and 18th of March with the semi-final round at the SoFi Center.
