Jon Rahm has started playing well in the fourth round of the Masters of Augusta. He made a textbook birdie at hole 1 and added two more at 3 and 7. In fact, his birdie at the latter hole was very special.
The golfer from Barrika has missed the tee shot to the right and has been left without a shot to the green, blocked by the trees that flank the fairway. He had to play short to the fairway and left a third shot of just over 70 meters. Obviously, the bogey was lurking. He had to do very well to save par.

That’s when the magic of the defending champion appeared. He hit a great shot and put it in from the fairway, with effect, taking advantage of that flag position that is practically in a pot. Big moment. It’s not that he saved par, it’s that he made a birdie and was two under for the day at that moment.
