Many golf professionals enjoyed and rejoiced over Rory McIlroy‘s victory last Sunday at the Masters in Augusta. The Northern Irishman is one of the most beloved and respected players on the circuit, so it was no surprise to see some of his fellow professionals, such as Shane Lowry or Tommy Fleetwood, waiting for him hours after finishing their respective rounds to congratulate him on his way to the Clubhouse after defeating Justin Rose in the playoff.
However, the most special congratulation for Rory, besides those from his family and close friends, probably came through social media and featured one of the great legends in golf history, his friend and business partner Tiger Woods, with whom he shares a project in the TGL. Woods took the opportunity when the Northern Irishman finally donned the famous Green Jacket to welcome him to a very special club.

Woods could not compete in the Masters due to an Achilles injury, but he kept a close eye on what was happening at Augusta National where his friend Rory achieved an unforgettable victory to join the group of Grand Slam winners.
Throughout history, only five players had managed to win all four Majors (Masters, PGA Championship, US Open, and The Open Championship) at least once in their careers: Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, and Tiger Woods. Since last Sunday, this collection of golf legends has a new member, Rory McIlroy, a golfer who, with his understanding of the sport, talent, successes, and loyalty to tradition, enters the club through the front door.
