The third round of the Masters is producing spectacular moments at the Augusta National. But one of the most electric, without doubt, came at the 6th hole, a par-three where the Irishman Shane Lowry recorded a spectacular hole-in-one, the first in this 90th edition of the prestigious major in Georgia. An exciting moment that he celebrated in style. It is the seventh time someone has achieved a hole-in-one at the 6th hole of the Augusta National during the tournament.
It is the second time that Lowry has made a hole-in-one at the Masters. He already made one years ago, on 10 April 2016, during the final round of the Masters, but that was on the par-three 16th (it was the 16th in the tournament’s entire history and he did it with an 8-iron from 181 yards). A real master at dialling in with the irons… What a player. Not even Harris English, who was putting on the neighbouring hole, could avoid tipping his cap to the Irishman, alerted by the crowd’s cheering.
