Good afternoon! Welcome to a new edition of the Masters at Augusta, the tournament that kicks off the 2026 majors and in which Spanish golf is represented by three winners of the famous Green Jacket: José María Olazábal, two-time champion, Sergio García and Jon Rahm. An unmissable event for all golf fans that began at lunchtime and is now entering the climax of its first round

Olazábal was one of the early starters. His match alongside Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen and Aldrich Potgieter teed off at 8:02 in Augusta, 14:02 in Spain. This afternoon it’s Sergio García‘s turn, who plays from 12:27 local time (18:27 in peninsular Spain) alongside Aaron Rai and Jacob Bridgeman. And the main attraction will come with Jon Rahm from 13:08 in Georgia (19:08 in Spain), sharing the round with Chris Gotterup and Ludvig Aberg

The world No 1, Scottie Scheffler, also plays in the afternoon, in one of the last groups of the day. Meanwhile the defending champion, Rory McIlroy, started his round an hour and a half ago. We’re now getting under way with our team of special correspondents at Augusta National to bring you, shot by shot, in detail, everything that happens in this first and thrilling round of the Masters.
