World No1 Jin Young Ko fired a bogey-free 67 to keep her streak of consecutive rounds in the 60s going, now at 13 with 14 being her previous record: “It was a great round today. And I tried to make more birdies and make more opportunity for birdie chance today.”

When asked if she was satisfied with how she’d played Ko replied to the negative: “Not really. Well, like my swing feel is a little different as front nine to back nine. So I feel more comfortable in the back nine, so I just want to find — I just want to find what happened in the front nine, is it mentally or is it like warmup or like needing more stretch before the tee off? So, yeah, I will go to the range right now.”

Tournament co-leader Amy Yang on her round five under par round that included seven birdies: “I was hitting the ball very solid today and also putted well. But I was more aware of how to prepare for each shot than, you know, what outcome would come. And I think I did manage well today.”

Yang on why she is feeling great: “I love the country and the golf course. I do enjoy coming here, and I think that kind of mindset just helps me better to enjoy more each day.”

Canadian Major winner Brooke Henderson lies in tied third place at seven under with Atthaya Thitikul and Megan Khang at -7 with Henderson commenting: “it was a good day. I felt like I hit it really well and I gave myself some good birdie looks. It was nice to cash in I guess on five birdies, and unfortunately one bogey. But, yeah, happy with how I’m playing the last two days. It was a lot of fun playing with Su and Jin Young today, and they both played really well, so that always makes it more fun too. And just excited to play the weekend.”

Thailand’s rising star, Atthaya Thitikul on her four under par round of 68: “On the front nine, I played really good, really solid golf, and then keep rolling the putts. But in the back nine I just had back luck on par-5. And then, yeah, just like I’m not commit to it as well. But overall it was good.

Thitikul’s thoughts ahead of the weekend: “I will say I think my game is fine. I mean, not like my A game, anyway, but just trying to give myself a lot of chances to make it and then just like commit to it and then have a good roll-in for the putt, it will be good.”

In Gee Chun on managing her neck spasm: “So I’ll say I got a spasm in my neck yesterday during the round. So it was bothering me a lot. And before I start today, I hopefully just finish the round. So it worked really well. So I’m so happy to make finish today.”

World No 4 Danielle Kang on having one ball left in her bag on one of ‘those’ days as she heads into the weekend in T10: “I kept hitting a lot of golf balls in the hazard today. I only have one golf ball left. But I saved pars from the fairway with a 5-wood and a wedge. I also 4-putted today… I’m far from where I want to be right now still. But I kept myself in it, which is the main goal…We’re only halfway done. I feel like we played like seven rounds right now. It’s been long days and it’s hot, and I feel like we’ve been out here. But it’s only halfway through, which is a great part. And no one is taking off with it, which is great.”
