Finca Cortesin continues to strengthen its reputation as one of Europe’s most exclusive luxury golf destinations after receiving important recognition in some of the sector’s most influential awards and rankings at the start of 2026.
Among the most notable achievements, the resort was recognised as number one in Spain in the ‘Best Hospitality’ category at the Golfers’ Choice Awards (GCA) by Leading Courses, underlining its strong commitment to excellence in service and customer experience.
This recognition is added to the second place achieved in the ‘Best Resort in Europe’ category by the same publication. Both awards are compiled entirely from verified customer reviews, thus reflecting the real experiences of the golfers who have visited Finca Cortesin.
In addition to these recent accolades, the resort has retained its prestigious ‘Gold Flag’ status awarded by 59club, the highest level within its evaluation system, based on a demanding mystery shopping programme.
59club’s awards selection process maintains its independent and objective nature, evaluating key aspects such as the player experience, course condition (greenkeeping), retail and F&B.
The club was also a finalist at the recent ceremony held in Terre Blanche, where leading professionals from the golf and hospitality industries gathered to recognise the best destinations, teams and figures in the sector globally.
The resort’s golf operations team was among the most outstanding in the sector, while the golf director, José Ignacio Olea, was nominated in the ‘Golf Manager of the Year’ category.
Regarding these recognitions, José Ignacio Olea said:
“It is a huge honour for Finca Cortesin to receive this recognition in various key areas of the golf industry. Being valued through awards and rankings is especially gratifying for the whole club team, particularly when they are based on the opinions of our customers and members, which faithfully reflects the standards of excellence that define the experience at Finca Cortesin.”
“Passion, professionalism and commitment are present every day across our entire golf operations team. Our priority is to deliver exceptional experiences to our members and guests, so receiving recognition from organisations that assess service excellence within the sector makes this achievement even more significant.”
Further strengthening its position on the international scene, the resort has also received five nominations at the World Golf Awards 2026, including ‘Europe’s Best Golf Course, Best Hotel, and Best Golf Venue’
