RSM UK, the audit, tax and consulting firm has announced that it has signed leading UK golfer Andy Sullivan as an ambassador for the firm.

Andy is currently ranked 37th in the world up from 150th at the beginning of 2015, a year that saw him win three times on the European Tour. Last November he finished second to Rory McIlroy at the European Tour’s season-closing World Tour Championship, and is strongly tipped to make his Ryder Cup debut for Team Europe this September. Andy is fresh from a 100 per cent winning run at the EurAsia Cup in Kuala Lumpur and will go on to play the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship this week alongside the likes of Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy and Rickie Fowler.

As part of the three year sponsorship deal, Andy Sullivan will engage with RSM clients and employees through personal appearances and social media interaction, display the RSM logo on his shirt during tournaments and be a key part of the business’s growing partnership strategy.

The move is the first of its kind for RSM in the UK, and comes on the back of the successful Team RSM sponsorship in the US of PGA Tour professionals Zach Johnson, Chris DiMarco and Davis Love III. The RSM Classic golf tournament is also an established fixture in the PGA Tour calendar.

Andy Sullivan said: ‘RSM are all about empowering their clients to move forward with confidence and I am proud to be partnering with them as we both look to build on the successes from last year. I’m excited about my prospects for the year ahead and it’s fantastic to have such a strong brand backing me all the way.’

David Gwilliam, Chief Operating Officer for RSM UK, said: ‘I am delighted that Andy is now an ambassador for RSM as he embodies many of our core values such as excellence, integrity and respect.

‘Andy’s rise in the rankings over the past year has been remarkable, mirroring a successful year for RSM. I am sure that we will see great things from Andy in 2016, and we very much look forward to being part of his continued success over the coming years.’
