Next Thursday, June 13, a new edition of The Battle of Stars kicks off, a sports competition that transcends titles thanks to its charitable purpose: fighting against ALS and multiple sclerosis. It will be held in Mallorca on the 13th and 14th of June and will feature Rafa Nadal, Pep Guardiola, Marcos Alonso, Pepe Reina, Feliciano López or Antonio Orozco, among other celebrities.
In the magnificent setting of Pula Golf Resort and the Club de Golf Son Servera, this golf tournament will be held, where amateurs can play alongside these global figures for two days full of meaning and social purposes. In addition, the competition will feature the presence of Juan Carlos Unzué, former footballer and former coach who battles against ALS and who has become a reference for this cause.
Also stepping on the green will be singer David Otero, winner of the last edition; bullfighter Pepín Liria, actress Verónica Mengod, Javier Clemente, Bernd Schuster, Albert Riera, Mateu Alemany, Mauro Tassotti, Gerard López, Gabriel Batistuta, Albert Riera,
Roberto Donadoni, Esteban Vigo, Miguel Ángel Nadal, Uli Stielike, Manu Trigueros and model Liz Emiliano.
The Battle of Stars is held once again with the support of Golf East Mallorca and thanks to Mallorca, Mallorca Tourism Foundation, Cap Vermell Grand Hotel, Sa Coma Real Estate and Banco Santander.
Pula Golf Resort is a unique venue that hosted the Mallorca Classic of the DP World Tour (then European Tour) for seven years. José María Olazábal, two-time Masters champion, redesigned the course between 2004 and 2006, making the venue one of the world’s references.
The complex has been nominated in four categories, including “Best emerging golf destination in the world”, “Best golf course in Europe” and “Best golf course in Spain”, at the World Golf Awards.
